The 2013 Ford C-Max Energi is a plug-in hybrid version of the Ford C-Max. The C-Max Energi can drive in all electric mode over 47 mph and is expected to have a range of over 500 miles (gasoline and electric combined). Unlike the Chevrolet Volt, the car will have an intermediary blended phase where both battery and gasoline energy sources are used. Additionally, there is an option to press a button that enables a pure electricity mode during which the vehicle reaches a limited top speed of 47 mph. The top speed and battery size have yet to be announced. The 2013 Ford C-Max Energi will be available in North America in 2012 and Europe in 2013.
